The Macallan TIME:SPACE marks 200 years of history at the Macallan since it was founded in 1824.

Comprising one bottle of Macallan distilled in 1940 (outer circle) and a smaller bottle of Macallan distilled in 2018 (inner circle).

The 1940 is the oldest Macallan bottled to date while the 2018 is the first release to come from the new Macallan distillery. Both are housed in an intriguing oak sculpture designed to represent a time machine.

1940 Vintage - 84 Years Old - 70cl / 43.4%
Aroma: Dark chocolate-coated ginger, sticky dates and leather, with antique oak and hints of coffee.

Palate: Charred pineapple and baked peaches, crystallised ginger, aniseed, blackberry jam, woodsmoke, resin and caramelised sugar.

Finish: An extremely long finish with notes of dark chocolate and toasted oak.

2018 Vintage - 5 Years Old - 35cl / 54.9%
Aroma: Vibrant notes of fresh green apple and ripe pears, leads onto rich sticky toffee, honey, vanilla custard and soft woodspice.

Palate: Golden sultanas and baked apples develop into buttery pastry dusted in icing sugar. Hints of lemon and lime follow, alongside vanilla shortbread.

Finish: A medium finish, creamy, with sweet oak.

A limited edition of 200 units released in 2024.
