Monkey 47 Distiller's Cut (2018 Release)
Every year the team at Black Forest Distillers select a different rare botanical to add to their already glorious Monkey 47 recipe.
This year they have chosen Brassica juncea, known colloquially as Red Mustard Cress, which has been grown 33 metres below the streets of South London in a carbon neutral underground greenhouse.
In a complex and extensive process, leaves of red mustard cress were added to the macerate of the 47 "traditional" ingredients of Monkey 47. They were then distilled again in a second extraction procedure, left to mature for three months in earthenware containers, and finally combined with soft, local spring water.
A limited edition of 4000 bottles released in 2018.
