Notes from the producer:
Colour: Deep rich gold with amber shadows
Nose: Honeysuckle, melon and ginger. Light toffee surrounded by smouldering oak. Fresh maritime notes and harbour rope.
Palate: Spicy rich cedar wood mixed with herbal undertones. Strong exotic wood fragrance, with delicately sweet grapefruit peel.
Finish: Long and powerful with coffee, thick dark treacle, plum wine and fresh oak.
Overall: Exceptional quality from a truly rare vintage, first fill sherry cask bottling.
Matured for the full term in a single Oloroso sherry butt and bottled at cask strength. A limited edition of 398 bottles released around 2008.
Score: 93/100 WF
