1972 Brora 40 Year Old
This one-off bottling of 1972 Brora 40 Year Old released in 2014 is considered by many commentators to be not only the high point of Brora's history but also one of the finest Scotch whiskies ever bottled. Since release it has attained mythical status among drinkers and collectors around the world - a modern legend rarely seen on the open market.
Part of the fun surrounding the original release of this bottle back in 2014 was that it was only available to buy in UK airport duty free shops. To own one it was necessary to buy a plane ticket and go somewhere (or find a reason to visit the UK).
Proudly presented in a heavy crystal decanter with a copper collar and housed in a solid hardwood cabinet made by the Queen's cabinet makers - NEJ Stevenson.
A limited edition of 160 bottles released exclusively for UK airport duty free shops.
