1972 Glengoyne Spirit Safe Edition (bottled 2011)

Notes from the producer:
Like all Glengoyne malts, the 1972 vintage is distilled from air-dried barley untainted by the harshness of peat smoke. A natural pale gold in colour, its mature age adds hidden depths to the hallmark Glengoyne taste. The fruitiness of ripe bananas, fruit sweets and punch give way to hints of liquorice and spicy sweetness. The aftertaste of almonds and aniseed leads to a medium to long, dry finish.

A limited edition released around 2011. Presented with a brass 'spirit safe' complete with a matching brass padlock, two keys and a black velvet pouch for the lock when is not in use.
