The Vaults Collection introduced by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society encompasses the finest and rarest casks from their treasure trove of single cask whiskies.

Distilled on 7 May 1990, this Speyside whisky spent the next 25 years in an ex-oloroso sherry butt before finishing its maturation in a first-fill Pedro Ximinez sherry butt. 

From the producer:
The palate is dark yet sweet, with chocolate-covered Brazil and macadamia nuts, figs, prunes and old leather, followed by Muscovado sugar, all sprice and a finish of rye whisky with dark, strong coffee.
